Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) assessment for Farm Okasewa

NOA paid up members are invited to the PGS assessment for Farm Okasewa.

Date: 24 November 2021
Venue: Farm Okasewa, Witvlei
Time: 07:30 for 08:00
What to bring: Hat, water bottle and mask
What to read: The IFOAM Organic Standards

Why are you invited?
NOA offers organic assessment services to organic producers, in order to provide an organic guarantee to their clients. We are using the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) approach, whereby NOA members are invited to observe the procedure, meet the farmers and learn  about organic agriculture. The organic production of the farmer is assessed according to the IFOAM Standards for Organic Production and Processing. If the farmer complies with the standards, the farmer may use the NOA Mark on the product which indicates the organic status of the product. It is therefore useful to read the relevant section on the IFOAM Organic standards.

About Farm Okasewa:
Kristina Waldschmidt started organic vegetable and fruit production in February 2017 and farms inspired by permaculture principles and Korean Natural Farming. Her products are sold at Organic Box.

Please let us know if you are interested to participate so that we can cater for you.
